“Fobos and Deimos” is a composition based on the irregularities of the orbits of the natural satellites of Mars, who were baptized Fobos and Deimos (Fear and Terror) in 1877 by Asaph Hall. This composition is in quartet format and through the unison base of the double bass and the piano, an atmosphere of uncertainty is generated through which the melody of the tenor sax and the drums move irregularly. With an AABA scheme without too many harmonic changes and with rhythm as the main actor, after the Head-in a hostile and uncertain environment begins to form from the progressive inclusion of the four instruments, first double bass, then piano and drums and finally tenor sax. “Fobos and Deimos” is jointly composed by Fran Nava and Gabriel Stern.

“Fobos and Deimos” es una composición que se basa en las irregularidades de las orbitas de los satélites naturales de Marte, quienes fueron bautizados Fobos y Deimos (Miedo y Terror) en 1877 por Asaph Hall. Dicha composición es en formato cuarteto y por medio de la base al unísono del contrabajo y el piano, se genera una atmósfera de incertidumbre por donde se desplazan irregularmente la melodía del saxo tenor y la batería. Con un esquema AABA sin demasiados cambios armónicos y con el ritmo como actor principal, luego del “Head-in” se comienza a formar un ambiente hostil e incierto a partir de la inclusión progresiva de los cuatro instrumentos, primero contrabajo, luego piano y batería y por ultimo saxo tenor. “Fobos and Deimos” está compuesta en forma conjunta por Fran Nava y Gabriel Stern.
